One Does Not Simply "Walk" Into Mordor

Diminishing the power of temptation within us (which Paul called "putting to death the deeds of the flesh" in Romans 8:13) is the work of a lifetime. There is no mental faith-switch we can flip that gives instant victory, and no experience that will eradicate original sin out of you. 

Christian, expect the challenge of holiness to go on as long as you live on the earth, so that you do not lose heart.
