Our church welcomes committed evangelical Christians with musical talents, harmonious with our Gospel beliefs, who want to help people worship in music and song! We believe Sunday is a morning of worship for everyone, rather than a stage performance by only a few.
We use hymns and Gospel songs, but we don't limit ourselves to them exclusively. We thank God for the musicians God has led to us, but would be glad for more! We follow some basic Scriptural principles:
We invite you to come join with us for congregational worship this Sunday! And if you are a committed Christian with skillful music talents, perhaps the Lord will open a door for you to help the worship ministry here at Ironworks Pike.
We use hymns and Gospel songs, but we don't limit ourselves to them exclusively. We thank God for the musicians God has led to us, but would be glad for more! We follow some basic Scriptural principles:
- A song's lyrics should harmonize with Scripture.
- Worship can be for praise, thanksgiving, or encouragement (Ephesians 5:19).
- All kinds of instruments can potentially be used (Psalm 150:3-5).
- Worship is a congregational activity (Psalm 35:18).
- Worship music should be done in a pleasant, fitting way (Psalm 147:1).
- Music performance and leadership must have skill (Psalm 33:3).
