Our History
In 1989, God led the Addington family to start a Bible study in their home. They came from an Evangelical Free Church background and had a vision for a church that would strongly emphasize Bible teaching and preaching. Georgetown Evangelical Free Church was born.
That home Bible study grew rapidly, and soon, the congregation moved to various rented facilities around town. Later, Rob and Susan Black and their family arrived, and Rob became the church's first full-time pastor. Property was purchased along Ironworks Pike Road, and God enabled the church to erect its first building.
After a decade of faithful service, Rob Black was led by the Lord to a new church, and Jack Brooks and his family came in 2001. Jack served as pastor until he retired at the end of 2024.
In 2012, the church changed its name to Ironworks Pike Community Church.
