The idea, promoted by liberal religious writers, that the Bible's original documents must have had at least some mistakes in them, if only because all human beings are innately mistake-prone, is foolish.
Jesus was a human being. He was also the Son of God. So, did Jesus Christ make mistakes because He was human? No, He did not.
God's power is greater than our humanity. The Lord was able to speak inerrantly through a greedy creep like Balaam! The Lord even gave a prophecy through the vile Caiaphas.
A lot of people who push the notion of a mistake-filled Bible believe in the sovereignty of Man. They reject the idea of a completely reliable Bible, because they can't stand the idea of a completely sovereign God who can overrule our capacity for error.
