How Can I Know God Personally?
We believe this is a critical question that everyone needs to consider.
The Bible teaches that all of us are sinners (Romans 3:23), and so we cannot know God on our own. Our sin separates us from God and makes it impossible for us to be in a right relationship with a holy God.
We cannot be good enough, serve hard enough, love deeply enough, or perform any actions that will make us right with God. Our sin corrupts all our good deeds.
But God sent His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life and to die in our place, paying for our sins. When we admit that we are sinners and need a Savior, repent of our sins, and cry out in faith to God for the forgiveness and cleansing from sin that comes only because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, God, by His grace, cleanses our sins and makes us righteous in His sight (Romans 6:23). Now we can know Him personally – by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ Alone (John 3:16).
