We need to be careful that we don't gravitate toward doctrinal teachings that feed a hostility toward the human race, if we are prone to that feeling. Christianity is not meant to be a vessel for our misanthropy, even when disguised as a belief in total depravity. It was hard to make Jesus angry at someone, which reflected the fact that His Father is "slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness."
